Last evening, Rolling Hills School hosted its first community Babysitting Night, led by our Grade 5 and 6 students. Having recently completed their Red Cross Babysitting certification, these students had the opportunity to put their training into practice, providing childcare for local families.

At Rolling Hills, we firmly believe in learning by doing. Real-world experience is where true leadership develops.

While our sitters did an excellent job managing the evening, the most valuable part of the experience took place this morning. Our students engaged in a structured debrief to reflect on their event.

Students openly and constructively discussed:

---- Successes: What strategies worked best to keep the younger children happy, involved and safe.

----Insights: What they learned about managing a group of littles in real-time.

----Improvements: What changes they would put in place to make the next event run even smoother.

We are incredibly proud of the maturity, responsibility, and growth mindset these prospective sitters demonstrated!

Thank you to all the families who supported this initiative and provided our students with this invaluable learning opportunity.
