We’ve had some great questions popping up in our inbox lately! We love the curiosity, so we thought we’d clear the air and demystify what life is really like at our school.
1. Are you a private school? 
Nope! We are a proud public school within the Grasslands School Division.
Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we charge zero school fees. In fact, we even provide many of the school supplies your students need. Just bring your brain (and maybe some sturdy shoes)!
2. What’s the damage for busing? 
Nada. Zip. Zilch. Busing costs exactly $0. We want to make sure getting here is as easy as being here.
3. Is "Farm Chores" a required subject? 
Short answer: No. While many of our students jump in willingly (turns out, feeding a goat is often more fun than a worksheet!), no one is obligated to do farm chores. We aren't training farmhands; we’re growing thinkers!
4. Why "Agricultural Academy"? 
Agriculture isn't just what we study; it’s the lens through which we see the world. We believe kids thrive when they are active participants in their education, learning with a clear sense of purpose.
Instead of opening a textbook or staring at a screen, our students step outside to see curriculum in action:
Real-World Science: Students witness the life cycles of plants, animals, and insects firsthand on our small school farm.
Math with a Mission: We move beyond the classroom to calculate costs, graph production, and manage real resources.
The "Moos-letter" (Language Arts): Our students don't just write for a grade; they write for a real audience! By publishing our famous Moos-letter, they learn to communicate with their community in a meaningful way. 
At the end of the day, we don't just teach subjects—we provide experiences that make those subjects stick.
