Time to annouce our total from our annual Terry Fox Fundraiser!
This year, students were initially challenged to raise $1,362—just one dollar more than last year’s total. That alone would have been a remarkable accomplishment for our small but mighty community. The original deal was that if they surpassed last year’s goal, students would get to tar and feather Mr. Flieger. But then, thanks to a creative student request, the challenge grew: if they raised even more, Mr. Flieger would also shave his head. That extra incentive seemed to spark a wave of excitement!
And once again, Rolling Hills came through. Inspired by Terry Fox’s dream of supporting cancer research, and fueled by the promise of a little schoolhouse fun, our students—and our generous community—raised an astounding $3,202.55!
This achievement is far more than a dollar figure. It is a powerful reminder of the compassion and determination of our students, families, and neighbours. Together, we honour Terry Fox’s enduring legacy and contribute to life-saving cancer research.
Now, it’s time to celebrate. Mr. Flieger will be honouring his commitment this Thursday, October 2 at 12:30 p.m. The community is warmly invited to join us.

Student assembly to follow starting at 2:00.

As you have heard, October 2 is a big day at our school! The school is buzzing with the excitement of the kids. I only know of one person who is less excited than everyone else, and she happens to be married to Mr. Flieger.
Included on October 2 is the Terry Fox Run. Mr. Flieger always offers to do a stunt if the kids reach our fundraising goal, and this year he has out done himself and has the kids very excited!
If they raise $1362, he will let them tar (chocolate pudding) and feather himself.....but as of yesterday, he has promised the kids that if they raise $2000, that he will also shave his head, in addition to be tarred and feathered!

Farm fresh eggs available this Friday and every Friday. Call the office or come by!
School Pictures have been scheduled for September 30, 2025. We will start with our youngest kiddos at 8:30am and work our way up through the grades, likely finishing before morning recess. Parents are welcome to come if they would like to make sure their child is comfortable in front of the camera! These pictures will be taken outside as they have for the past few years. In the event that the weather doesn't cooperate, we will select a new date. There will not be a re-take day, so please ensure your child is at school on September 30. While it is National Truth and Reconciliation Day, students are welcome to change into an orange shirt after pictures, if they'd like.

Included is also a few other important papers as explained on the outside of the envelope - you will find a consent form for the morning prayer group as well as a cookie dough order form. Please be sure to review this package ASAP and return the forms by Friday, September 12. ***If you have a child starting pre-k or ECS tomorrow, we will hand deliver the package for your family to you tomorrow. As always, if you have any questions or need assistance with anything in the package, please call or email Mrs. Lester or stop in for someone to give you a hand!

We had a busy day, getting set to take on our large animals again. Our corral was moved, new pasture is set up and a much larger garden is tilled.
Thank you to our Jr. high students for their hard work in planning and moving the corral. Their work ethic and problem solving was incredible!
Thanks to Bill Dickinson for his time on operating the Telehandler to move the panels and shelters. Thank you to Carl and Wendy Chomistek for the use of the equipment. Thank you to Meeuwsen's for tilling our garden!
